Bridge and control systems
Integrated bridge systems, alarm and monitoring systems and control systems on board. Polytronic is an approved service supplier for DNV.
Seven service areas
Automation for the maritime sector and industry
Control systems, PLCs and operator interfaces for vessels and production plants. We build new, rebuild existing installations and handle the commissioning afterwards. Polytronic is a registered dealer of Siemens Digital Industries.
Communication and networks
Data networks, structured cabling and communication systems on board and in industrial plants, from cable runs and termination to the equipment at each end. Carried out as an R&M freenet Certified Copper Installer.
Electronics
Electronics in industrial equipment and on board: error diagnosis, repair, replacement and upgrading of boards, cabinets and components, including equipment that has a few years behind it.
Testing and error diagnosis
Systematic error diagnosis and verification in electrical and automation systems. Measurement at the terminal, log analysis and functional testing, with a 24-hour emergency line and fast response time world-wide.
Commissioning
Commissioning in phases: cold testing, point testing, tuning and trial operation. We hand over with signed test protocols, as-built documentation and training for those who will operate the plant.
Electrical engineering
The broad electrical trade: installations, switchboards and systems. Design, installation, rebuilds and maintenance on board and in industrial plants.

The emergency line +47 47 177 177 is staffed 24 hours a day, all year. The switchboard +47 47 444 888 handles other enquiries and is open weekdays 08-16. If it is urgent, call the emergency line. The person answering can take the technical questions straight away.
Where do you work?
Our head office is in Horten and we take assignments throughout Norway. For maritime and industrial customers with plants abroad we travel out: fast response time world-wide is part of what we offer.
Which sectors do you work for?
The maritime sector and industry. Typical clients are industrial companies with their own production plants, shipyards and shipowners. The trade is the same in both; what differs is the demands on workmanship and documentation.
Do we have to buy complete deliveries, or can you take single assignments?
Both. We take defined assignments: a fault to be diagnosed, a switchboard modification, a commissioning job. And we take the entire electrical and automation scope of a project. We also step into plants we did not supply ourselves.
